Adam Smith: Closing Arguments

I believe Adam Smith’s work should be included on the syllabus next year because he differs quite a lot in my mind from the others we are reading in the sense that some of his philosophy (particularly his economic philosophy) is much more concrete than others of his time. I think that after reading philosophers like Descartes, students would like to read about philosophies that can be tested in the real world, rather than the purely metaphysical arguments that many philosophers base their arguments off of.
