Wang Yangming

Wang Yangming was a Chinese philosopher, politician, and statesman during the Ming dynasty. He is commonly regarded as the synthesizer of Philosophy of Mind (心学) in China, which is tightly connected to but differs from Zhu Xi’s Neo-Confucianism (理学). His most influential philosophical views include the unity of knowing and acting (知行合一), and attaining conscience (致良知).
